Tips for Horse Racing Betting

Horses2lay provides most of our betting tips by 12 pm for afternoon racing and by 5 pm for evening racing, however some tips may come later, and even close to racetime if we feel that we have identified a good opportunity. Tips will be communicated by e-mail and SMS message to your mobile. Occasionally we may cancel the tip e.g if there is a significant non-runner.

It is important that the betting tips provided are laid to a level stake. If variable staking is used, sod's law is almost certain to operate and provide considerable frustration.

One issue which clients raise with us is what price to lay the tips at. In time and with practice clients should get an instinct for whether the price is likely to get bigger or shorter. There are a number of factors including e.g. whether the horse is trained by a big-name trainer, whether it has been heavily tipped, and the strength of support for other horses in the race. On balance, our experience has been that more of the horses tipped drift in the market than shorten. We do not recommend laying horses 'in-running'.
